The New Teaching Life
To start off, this site was created to commemorate my final year of the undergraduate education program at Michigan State University. Now, I can use it to update students and staff at my new home at Merritt Academy.
First off, I would like to thank everyone for welcoming me to my new school. For a little history about my travels, I am a graduate of the teacher education program at Michigan State University, a five-year program ranked best in the country at educating young teachers for the workforce. I received my BA in English and my CC in history. Afterwards, I did my student teaching and two years of consistent substitute teaching at Harrison in Farmington Hills before accepting the position here at Merritt. I know that I have great shoes to fill with the departure of Mrs. Burr, but I would like students and parents alike to know that I am here for the best interest and education of my students. If you ever need to reach me, contact me any time via email at [email protected], and if you need any further information about me as a teacher, hopefully this website can assist you.
For the rest of this site, please use the links provided to the left. The pages labeled with curriculum and goals will give you a brief overview of the course, while pages labeled updates will give periodic updates on homework, upcoming assignments, and last minute notes, as well as a place to ask me questions when not in class.
Cheers to a great upcoming year!
